A SUCCESS!

BATELEC II - The Batangas II Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BATELEC II) successfully celebrated their 27th Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) with the theme “Touchstone of MCOs’ Lives” last March 24, 2018 at BATELEC II Compound, Antipolo del Norte, Lipa City.

Because of the humongous number of registrants, the registration was opened as early as 5:00 o’clock in the morning which was originally set at 6:00AM until 2:00PM.  Registrants received a Php200.00 worth of meal allowance and a giveaway umbrella.  Registrants were then welcomed with a festive greeting orchestrated by the Batangas Drum Beaters.

Attended by 28,710 member-consumer-owners (MCOs) or 10.4% of the total membership, the 27th AGMA was highlighted by an inspirational talk from the National Electrification Administration (NEA) Deputy Administrator for Corporate Resources and Financial Services, Ms. Sonia B. San Diego.  In her speech, she emphasized the mandate of the NEA Administrator, Hon. Edgardo R. Masongsong, on the significant role of the MCOs through their relentless support in the plans and programs of the Cooperative.  Keeping themselves relevant in taking full advantage of the continuous improvement and availability of quality electric service is a key aspect in the sustainability of electrification.

Re-elected directors Ruperto H. Manalo of San Juan District and Marlino V. Braga took their oath in the presence of Deputy Admin. San Diego.

The well-attended AGMA was also participated by some of the Municipal and City Mayors as well as their respective representatives.

To assure active participation of the MCOs, as early as 7:00AM, BATELEC II organized a videoke challenge where they could receive a prize of P200.00 if their singing would garner a score of 80 or higher.  There were also series of games, live bands and acrobats show held for the enjoyment of the attendees.

Though Hon. Governor Hermilando I. Mandanas was not available to attend the program, he extended his greetings by donating 23 packs of groceries which were all raffled for the MCOs.

During the 1st raffle draw, there were 12 winners who have won P3,000.00 and 1 winner of P4,500.00.  17 pieces each of P5,000.00, P10,000.00, and P15,000.00, as well as 10 units of Samsung smart phones were drawn in the 2nd draw.  In the 3rd draw, there were 20 pieces of P5,000.00 drawn and 10 pieces of P10,000.00.  In the grand draw, there were 5 lucky winners who have won P50,000.00 each.
